Robert DeLoach is Of Counsel to the firm and a member of the Securities Litigation department. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with an AB in History and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the Bar in South Carolina and Indiana (inactive).
For the past seven years, Mr. DeLoach was a partner in Ledbetter & Associates, P.A., a law firm which represented claimants around the world who were victims of investment negligence or abuse. He has extensive experience in handling cases pursuant to the regulations of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”). He is also a FINRA arbitrator.
Previously, he spent over twenty years in the securities industry working with financial institutions in connection with their fixed income investments. He served as Senior Vice President of Mesirow Financial and Meridian Capital Markets. During his tenure in the securities industry he held Series 7 and 63 Licenses.
In his earlier legal career, Mr. DeLoach served as an attorney in the commercial mortgage loan department of Midwestern United Life insurance Company and later served as general counsel of Oxford Development Corp., a national real estate developer and property manager.
He is active in Pinion, a 501 (c)(3) charity, which raises money for the benefit of Special Olympics Broward County and its athletes.
