Claudia R. Capriles has dedicated the majority of her legal career to the practice of marital and family law.
Claudia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in December 2001 from the University of Miami, with a dual major in Criminology and Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, Claudia participated in a student internship program at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office.
Claudia went on to attend St. Thomas University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in December 2004. While in law school, Claudia was a member of the St. Thomas Law Review, International Moot Court, Peter T. Fay Inns of Court, and Hispanic Association of Law Students. Claudia also received the Best Oralist and Best Overall Performance Awards in the 2003 Fall Intermural Moot Court Competition and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Linda A. Wells, Third District Court of Appeal of Florida.
After graduation, Claudia held a position at a boutique firm specializing in construction litigation and contract disputes. In 2006, she accepted a prestigious position at Maurice Jay Kutner and Associates, where she exclusively practiced marital and family law until 2015, at which time she established her own law firm.
Claudia has considerable knowledge and experience in all aspects of family law matters, including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce, complex and high-asset divorce cases, time-sharing disputes, child support issues, parental relocation, alimony or spousal support issues, post-judgment modifications, paternity actions, and mediations. She has been listed as a Florida Rising Star by the Florida Super Lawyers Magazine in 2010 and 2011, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Marital and Family Law Mediator.
Claudia is bilingual in English and Spanish.
