Dan Genossar practices commercial litigation, business transactions, and white-collar litigation. He represents individuals and business entities in business disputes, while also advocating for disabled and elderly adults that have been taken advantage of and swindled. Furthermore, Mr. Genossar is a trial attorney familiar with using the rules of evidence in trials and evidentiary hearings, and picking juries in voir dire.
In the commercial litigation practice group, Mr. Genossar handles litigation, including, joint venture, partnership, contractual, Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUPTA), or otherwise business-related disputes. Moreover, he prosecutes and defends post-judgment, including, judgment debtor asset recovery. Understanding contracts, Mr. Genossar also guides and advises clients in contract drafting and business transactions.
In the white-collar litigation practice group, as a former prosecutor, Mr. Genossar knows how to take what law enforcement believe are “civil matters” and advocate for the institution of criminal investigations and prosecutions by governmental agencies for clients, such as dealing with enterprises and conspiracies recognized as Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) under federal and state laws. Because senior citizens and disabled adults are more suspectable to deceptive, criminal enterprises, we seek prompt justice in the retrieval of clients’ misappropriated or stolen property.
Although from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Mr. Genossar began his legal journey in Buckinghamshire, England where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws with Honors from the University of Buckingham. While at university, he created and captained the Milton Keynes (“Minotaurs”) Lacrosse Club, leading his team as the underdogs of the third division to a promotion, leaving the team seated third in the second division during the club’s second year. At the age of 24, Mr. Genossar passed the New York Bar with a British LL.B. and an American LL.M. While working as a full-time attorney in New York for a Judge and then a AM100 law firm, he obtained his J.D. through an expedited program, enabling him to venture into the Sunshine State. By age 30 he was admitted into his third state: Texas. He speaks Mandarin Chinese, and in his free time, he may be found learning other cultures, self-teaching the piano, surf skating or road biking.
